There was some exciting news from one of the teams receiving a gift from the fund. Team Taylor Reese-Hansen has pre-qualified for the 2027 Scotties Tournament of Hearts. This spot was earned based on the team’s Canadian Team Ranking System points from last season. The team joins defending champs Team Kerri Einarson, and another CTRS points team skipped by Rachel Homan, who have clinched their berths.
In addition, the team has been selected to the National Team Program for 2026-2027. Curling Canada names four teams plus one development team in women’s play. To qualify, a team must have great results from past events and also make the commitment to a regular training program that meets Curling Canada’s requirements.
